Anderson Belts 6 Hits
Monday, July 22nd , 2024
Chris Anderson exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ballpark of Greenup.
The Riverside catcher had a field day in his team's 15-8 triumph over the Rohnert Park Cougars, finishing 6-for-6.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Anderson must have focused at least 6 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Chris Anderson hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Drew Yarussi in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
This season, Anderson has banged out 12 hits in 43 at-bats for a .279 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .347 pace and his totals also include 13 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
