Division Series Goes the Distance, Mobile Prevails Saturday, September 17th , 2022 Depending on your loyalties, the Division Series was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Mobile Yard Dogs and the Mesa Razor Sharks giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Yard Dogs came out on top, winning 11-8 at Mobile Grounds today to take the series 4-3. "We're lucky to be going into the League Championship Series," said Mobile pitcher Jason Hoover. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Hoover earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .357 average, with 4 home runs, 12 RBI and 7 runs scored. The Mobile Yard Dogs will play against the Winchester Mountaineers in the next round.
