Bombs Away: Richins Slams 4 Homers

John Richins of the Mesa Razor Sharks had a history-making game against the Rohnert Park Cougars, clobbering 4 home runs in an awesome display of power in the 9-8 Razor Sharks victory.
The Mesa second baseman, who is tied for 3rd in the E-AA in stolen bases with 15, went 4-for-5, had 4 RBIs and scored 4 times in the game.
"There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Richins later. "It doesn't often work, but it did today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be."
John Richins grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jason Thompson in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jason Thompson in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Sean Harris in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Brian Orms in the 9th.
At present, Richins is batting .314 with 54 hits and 9 home runs. He has knocked in 27 runs and scored 33 times.
