Pikula Fires Shutout in Tigers Victory Monday, July 24th , 2023 Steve Pikula was in a mood to talk following the London Tigers contest against the Vail Tigercats, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Tigercats, 6-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Pikula said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The right-hander blanked Vail on a 4-hitter, allowing 5 walks and racking up 4 strikeouts. On the season, Pikula has compiled a 7-0 mark with a 1.53 ERA in 7 starts.
