Soggy conditions did not keep Hamilton and St. Louis from playing their scheduled game.

The Hamilton Bulldogs picked up a win at Mariachis Ballpark, dropping the St. Louis Cavalry, 4-3. Jesus Garcia, who is tied for 9th in the W-AA with a 9.5 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The winner in relief was Matt Helms. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 8-4.

Howard Beall aided the Hamilton cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-1.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Beall.

The losses continue to mount for St. Louis, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
