Firecats 2B Myers Gets the Cycle

Brian Myers roughed up Stockton Ragin Cajuns pitching in a big way at Firecats Ballpark today, leading the Hialeah to a 4-2 win.
With his parents and family watching from the stands, the 22-year-old second baseman put on a magnificent show, hitting for the cycle -- collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game.
"It was a good day for that to happen," a beaming Myers said after the game. "I really got some good looks and delivered. Sometimes you're just on."
He finished his historic day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.
Brian Myers hit a solo-shot off Derrick Espinosa in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
This season Myers has hit at a .322 clip and produced 30 runs batted in, 4 home runs and 35 runs.
