Henkemeyer Tags Wildthings for 6 Hits

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Jim Henkemeyer. Henkemeyer went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Washington pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Mountaineers Park, he had a 6-for-7 line and a day he will long remember. And the Winchester Mountaineers had a win, 18-1, over the Wildthings.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Jim Henkemeyer flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bryce Lowe in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
Henkemeyer is currently hitting at a .268 pace with 10 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has played in 46 games and scored 43 times.
