Buchanan Brilliant -- Fires No-Hitter Friday, July 22nd , 2022 Justin Buchanan really did a number on the London Tigers at Cavalry Ballpark -- and that number was zero. The St. Louis Cavalry hurler had what he later called "one of the best moments of my life," tossing a no-hitter and leading the Cavalry to victory, 3-0. "This is something special," Buchanan said. "I knew from the fifth inning that I had a no-hitter working. I tried to get it out of my mind, but you just can't. They have too many scoreboards in the park. They're everywhere you look." The right-hander faced only 27 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 8 and walked 1. "We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," London manager Jose Torres said when asked about the epic performance. "Buchanan was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number." This season, Buchanan has a 3-3 mark in 9 starts with a 2.55 ERA. He has given up 46 hits in 67 innings, struck out 45 and issued 10 walks.
