Cavalry Tag Ragin Cajuns with 9-5 Loss
Though he had a terrific game, Curtis Wojtysiak could not prevent his team, the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, from absorbing a loss. St. Louis won the game, 9-5. Wojtysiak went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Vic Vance earned the win. Matt Hanna, who is tied for 6th in the W-AA in wins with 8, took the loss for Stockton. Shane Campbell was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities.

The Cavalry benefited from a costly error in the top of the fourth. With Danny Gates at bat and St. Louis leading 4-3, the Stockton miscue allowed St. Louis to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Gates. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."

The win has St. Louis at 37-60.
