Cornwall turned a good performance from starting pitcher Marquise Robinson into a 3-2 triumph over the Vail Tigercats at Vail Grounds. Reliever John Mills picked up the win. His record improves to 6-1. Paul Dolezal took the loss. The Royals are now 61-36.

Oscar Cordova provided a timely hit. The Cornwall left fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royals on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Marquise had himself a pretty good evening," said Cornwall manager Jon Williams.
