Wilson Socks It to Running Rebels, Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, June 22nd , 2023 Alcoa third baseman John Wilson had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Fresno Running Rebels at Alcoa Grounds as the Millionaires picked up a win, 15-14. "He was patient up there," Alcoa skipper Victor Gonzalez told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Wilson has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." John Wilson hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Joe Ackerman in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
