5-Hit Barrage by Mendez Tuesday, April 22nd , 2025 It was almost a perfect day for Leo Mendez. The Cincinnati first baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Bombardiers lost to the London Tigers, 7-5. Mendez told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Cincinnati manager Carlos Almendarez told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said.
