Stampede Steve Brady Will Miss Season
Sunday, June 26th , 2022
Lubbock reliever Steve Brady could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Laredo game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Brady would be out 11 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
This year, Brady is 4-and-1 with no saves and a 2.47 ERA. He has given up 37 hits in 47.1 innings with 36 strikeouts.
