Season Possibly Over for Nick Horrocks Thursday, May 26th , 2022 The doctors have spoken and Nick Horrocks of the Orono Oaks didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Horrocks sustained his season-ending injury during the Randolph Prairie Thunder game yesterday at University of Maine Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Orono medical staff reported Horrocks had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. So far this year, Horrocks has 1 win and 4 losses and a 3.02 ERA. |
