Tucson Loses Mario Prieto for Season Sunday, April 16th , 2023 Mario Prieto of the Raccoons just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Tucson second baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Quebec Fighting Quakers recently at Toros Ballpark. Prieto suffered a concussion while colliding with a player at a base. The Raccoons medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8 months. For the season, Prieto is batting .250 with 4 hits and no home runs. He has scored 5 times and batted in 1. |
