The End Is Here: Hethum Manasarian Retires Tuesday, May 4th , 2021 Hickory Crawdads reliever Hethum Manasarian will retire at the end of the season, according to reports out of team headquarters. Manasarian, 43, has been considering retirement since last season sources say, though he has declined to speak publicly about retirement. "Hethum still likes baseball," one source said, "He wants to play, but he also knows he's getting up in age and the skills are not what he wants them to be. He says it's physically getting harder to go out there every day. That's why he's hanging up his spikes." During his career, Manasarian has posted a 79-and-76 record with 439 saves and a 2.46 ERA. |
