He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Mark Stuart performed like a veteran on the hill for the Montreal Royals and walked away with the Stars Conference Pitcher of the Year Award in the process.

The 25-year-old Royals star fashioned a 14-7 won-loss record in 2026 with a 2.58 ERA. In 198.2 innings of work and 28 starts, Stuart struck out 174 while giving up 160 hits and 43 walks. He held opposing batters to a .219 average.

He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 24. Alex Martinez of the Chesapeake Tailgators finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Barry McLamb of the Joilet Jesters finished third with 2 first place votes.
