New Rochelle Won't Make Playoffs Wednesday, September 4th , 2024 It's now time for the New Rochelle Purple Wave to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2024 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Purple Wave starting pitcher Kevin Clinger. New Rochelle last appeared in the postseason in 2022. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 18 times in their 25-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Purple Wave have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
