El Paso Captures Wild Card Monday, September 21st , 2026 For a team that has never won a World Series, how you get to the postseason isn't the important part. The important part is simply that you get there and thus, the El Paso Chupacabras excitedly celebrated their Stars Conference wild card berth tonight. "There's only one thing that everyone on this team wants and that's to be champions. We want to bring a title home to El Paso and this is the first step," said closer Marcos Guadarrama. "Of course we would have loved to win the division, but we look forward to the challenge ahead." It will be the 1st ABA Development League championship in franchise history for the team if they can pull it off. "That's the ultimate goal," added the closer. |
