Fremont-Glendale Brawl, Jones and Diggs Suspended
Monday, August 25th , 2025
Yesterday at Hedgehogs Park Jerry Jones and Dylan Diggs got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Fremont Marshalls and Glendale Muskies. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.
Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Jones will have to sit out 5 while Diggs would be given a 3-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.
Currently Jones is batting .197 with 45 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 16 runs and scored 20 times.
This year, Diggs has 52 relief appearances, saving 7. His record is 4-5 with 66 strikeouts in 62.1 innings and a 3.75 ERA.
