Quebec's Cook Out 4-5 Months Thursday, August 7th , 2025 The doctors have spoken and Pete Cook of the Quebec Aces didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Cook sustained his season-ending injury during the Walnut Park Bobcats game yesterday at Belmont Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Quebec medical staff reported Cook had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. On his stats sheet for the year Cook shows a 2-6 record, 10 starts, 64.1 innings, 63 strikeouts and a 4.34 ERA. |
