Stripes Conference Honors Week's #1 Player Monday, August 28th , 2023 Today was a fine day for Steve McCutcheon of the Walnut Park Bobcats, who found out he has been named the Stripes Conference Player of the Week. Last week he was one tough cookie to hit, ringing up 2 wins to pull in the league's best player award. To win the best player honor the 24-year-old Walnut Park hurler tossed a total of 15.1 innings, collecting 2 wins, 12 strikeouts and a 0.00 earned run average. He suffered no losses. McCutcheon has made 21 starts, tossed 146 innings, struck out 123 batters and walked 25. His record is 13-2 with a 3.14 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .214 batting average. |
