StC Player of the Week Selected Monday, July 29th , 2024 When it came to hitting the baseball, Mark Payne was in a class by himself in the Stripes Conference this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Spokane tagged opposing pitchers for a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 7 hits in 14 at-bats, 4 homers, 5 runs scored and 11 RBIs. So far this year, Payne has 12 home runs and a .288 batting average. |
