Brown Spins No-Hitter Against El Paso Wednesday, August 5th , 2026 In a dominant outing, Matt Brown of the Fremont Marshalls totally silenced the bats of the El Paso Chupacabras, finishing with a no-hitter. In the 1-0 victory, Brown faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 10 strikeouts and 1 walk. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Fremont manager Bill Mason said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager William Maysonet had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game. "The Marshalls had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Brown pitched a heck of a ballgame."
