Stars Conference Top Hurler Announced Wednesday, October 28th , 2020 The Pitcher of the Year Award for 2020 has been announced and the Stars Conference winner is Josh Cowels of the Hartford Matadors. With a record of 17-6, Cowels was certainly a worthy winner. He made 29 starts and rang up 210.1 innings, 184 strikeouts and a 2.52 ERA. He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 24. Sean Cofield of the Montreal Royals finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jaden Mack of the Chesapeake Tailgators finished third with 2 first place votes.
