Heugly Wins SC Manager of the Year Trophy Tuesday, October 27th , 2020 Hartford Matadors field manager Jesse Heugly has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Matadors parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a second place spot in the Stars Conference West Division standings. Hartford finished the year with a 81-63 record. To everybody's delight Heugly was voted the 2020 Stars Conference Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. Heugly doesn't take any nonsense. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
