Michael Whacks 3 Out of the Park for Dillonvale Monday, July 15th , 2024 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Tucson Raccoons. Dillonvale left fielder Josh Michael tripled up on the home runs to propel the Indians to a win, 9-4, at Black Diamonds Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Tucson manager Rogelio Sanchez said. "Michael hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Michael collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 5 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Josh Michael hit a solo-shot off Kareem Craig in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Kareem Craig in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Sullivan in the 8th. Michael is currently hitting .302 with 13 home runsand 34 RBIs, while scoring 51 runs. |
