Season May Be Over for Purple Wave Sakai Tuesday, July 9th , 2024 The New Rochelle Purple Wave were dealt a blow today when starting pitcher Kosuke Sakai left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that Sakai has suffered bone chips in his elbow and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury. This year, Sakai has registered 4 wins and 3 losses in 13 starts with a 5.25 ERA while registering 45 strikeouts and 36 walks in 58.1 innings. |
