Division Series Goes the Distance, Nashville Prevails
Monday, September 28th , 2020
The Nashville Lasers and Laredo Ghosts didn't hold back anything in the Division Series, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the League Championship Series.
Nashville won the final game by a score of 3-0 at Ghosts Ballpark and that concluded the series, 4-3.
"Relief is the biggest thing," Nashville left fielder Adam Lietz said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Laredo deserves credit for the hard fight."
Lietz paced the Nashville offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .320 with a .452 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Nashville Lasers will play against the Hartford Matadors in the next round. Hartford won their series against the Montreal Royals 4 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
