New Rochelle Devastated by Playoff Elimination Thursday, September 17th , 2020 In what closer Landon Gross called a "devastating blow" for baseball fans in New Rochelle, the New Rochelle Purple Wave won't be a part of the playoffs this season. They were officially eliminated from contention earlier today. New Rochelle last appeared in the postseason in 2018. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 15 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Purple Wave have made the playoffs 2 times. |
