Lovell Stretches Hit String to 20

The number just keeps getting higher.
Fremont third baseman David Lovell has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Fremont won the game, 6-2, over the Hartford Matadors at Hedgehogs Park.
"Who knows how long it will go on?" Hartford manager Jesse Heugly said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." David Lovell walked in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
This season, Lovell has hit at a .443 clip and produced 17 runs batted in, 7 home runs and 19 runs.
