Chesapeake-Baxter Springs Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, July 24th , 2025 If there wasn't a history between Mike Johnson of Chesapeake and Jeremy Reyner of Baxter Springs, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 2 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Johnson said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Currently Johnson has 1 home run and a .253 batting average. Thus far this season, Reyner has posted a 3-5 record, started 9 games, struck out 53 batters in 66.2 innings and compiled a 3.24 ERA. |
