Westwood's Faulkner Sidelined for Season Friday, August 18th , 2023 The season is finished for Ron Faulkner of the Westwood Bruins. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Bruins reliever suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Hickory Crawdads. Team doctors said it would take at least 5-6 months to heal. This year, Faulkner has notched 2 saves. He has 38 strikeouts and 8 walks in 32.1 innings while registering a 2.51 ERA and a 1-0 won-lost record. |
