Top SC Pitcher Announced Thursday, October 28th , 2021 Rodrigo Izquierdo was the most outstanding pitcher in the Stars Conference this year and today was acclaimed the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for his efforts. Izquierdo had a marvelous season, going 16-4 with an impressive 2.59 ERA in 30 starts. He struck out 163 in 194.2 innings and limited opposing batters to a .198 batting average. He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 24. George Wilson of the Montreal Royals finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Brian Norfolk of the Little Rock Governors finished third.
