20-Game Hitting Streak for Yost Monday, August 7th , 2023 The Portland Mad Ants stopped the Baxter Springs Marshals, 3-2, and Chris Yost collected a base hit yet again. The Portland left fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Yost told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Chris Yost doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Scott Reynolds in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. This year, Yost is batting .285 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs. In 85 games he has scored 57 times. |
