Marshalls Advance to World Series Monday, September 30th , 2019 Adrian Hernandez put the Fremont Marshalls on his shoulders as they downed the Walnut Park Bobcats in the League Championship Series. Fremont won the deciding game by a 5-4 count at Hedgehogs Ballpark and wrapped up the series 4-1. Hernandez played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .353 batting average with a .421 on-base percentage, 3 home runs, 5 RBI and 6 runs scored. "I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said. The Fremont Marshalls don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Nashville Lasers - Montreal Royals series. Montreal leads the series 3 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. |
