Orono Loses Hawes for Year
Wednesday, July 9th , 2025
When Orono starting pitcher Chris Hawes was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Oaks-Bruins game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Hawes had sustained a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for about 11 months.
For the season, Hawes has a record of 5 wins and 6 losses in 17 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.10 and has fanned 93 batters in 111.1 innings.
