Bobcats Cruise to League Championship Series with Sweep Friday, September 20th , 2019 It was a sweet sweep for the Walnut Park Bobcats as they eased past the Ann Arbor Z's to advance to the League Championship Series. Walnut Park won the final game by a 4-0 count and the series 4-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Danny Roquemore, who was named series MVP. For the series, Roquemore hit .333 with a .312 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Walnut Park Bobcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Fremont Marshalls - Orono Oaks series. Fremont leads the series 3 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
