Marshalls Carmona Fires No-Hitter Sunday, September 8th , 2019 Fremont is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Danny Carmona. The 28-year-old hurler was dominating against the Quebec Fighting Quakers, leading the Marshalls to a 7-0 win at Toros Ballpark today. "I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Quebec manager Jeff Gray said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." Carmona had 10 strikeouts and gave up 5 walks en route to the no-hitter. "Yeah, this was a special day for me," Carmona said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today." On his stats sheet for the year Carmona shows a 8-7 record, 28 starts, 147.1 innings, 191 strikeouts and a 3.24 ERA. |
