Emery on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Thursday, September 5th , 2019 Finishing with 4 hits is a great day for any player, but Danny Emery made it even more special by hitting for the cycle at Reagor Dykes Stadium today. Emery had 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run for the Lubbock Stampede and led them to a 5-1 decision over the Portland Mad Ants. The center fielder also finished with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. "Awesome," Emery said when asked how the accomplishment felt. Danny Emery hit an RBI triple in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Matt Rushing in the 8th. For the season Emery has hit .204 with 13 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 122 games and scored 52 times. |
