Postseason Bid Ends for Spokane Saturday, September 11th , 2021 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Spokane Selects. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Selects manager Chris McLure. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." Before this season, the Selects last missed the playoffs in 2019. In the 22 years they have been a ABA Development League franchise, they have made the playoffs 7 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Selects have made the playoffs 3 times. |
