Orono Loses Rich Simmer, Will Miss Season Tuesday, September 7th , 2021 Rich Simmer will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Orono second baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Simmer was injured while making a defensive play in the Oaks-Marshalls clash at Hedgehogs Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a torn labrum and would be out a minimum of 9-10 months. Currently Simmer is batting .274 with 7 home runs and 43 RBIs. |
