The 23-year-old hurler piled up 3 wins and no losses for the Bobcats last month and won the Stripes Conference Pitcher of the Month award for his efforts. Porretta stymied opposing batters on 38 base hits and a .224 batting average. He rang up 35 strikeouts in 45.1 innings of work, surrendered 8 walks and fashioned a sparkling 2.18 ERA.
