Kirkham's Condition Worse, Suffers Another Setback Thursday, September 1st , 2022 Willie Kirkham's return to the Hartford Matadors has been delayed. The 22-year-old left fielder has been in treatment for a strained foot and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Kirkham will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least one week. For the year, Kirkham is batting .259 with 18 home runs. |
