Streak Finally Over, Brewer Held Hitless Tuesday, August 30th , 2022 The streak has been snapped. Dan Brewer failed to get a hit in today's game against the Walnut Park Bobcats, bringing his 21-game hitting spree to an end. The 25-year-old New Rochelle left fielder was 0-for-3, but the Purple Wave got the win and defeated the Bobcats, 1-0. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Brewer said. "I got to 21 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" This season, Brewer has hit 12 home runs and posted a .318 batting average. |
