Lake Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Hartford Thursday, May 16th , 2024 The Hartford Matadors got more than the 3-1 victory at Ballpark of Tacoma -- they also put an end to the 20-game hitting streak of Fremont Marshalls left fielder Tyler Lake by holding him without a hit in 3 at-bats. After the game, Lake seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." Lake on the season is batting .472 with no home runs. His totals include 17 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played in 28 games. |
