Lake Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Wednesday, May 15th , 2024 Chalk up another one for Fremont Marshalls left fielder Tyler Lake. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Lake went 2-for-4 in today's game at Ballpark of Tacoma but saw his club defeated, 2-1, by the host Hartford Matadors. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Marshalls manager Matt Blade said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Tyler Lake tripled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. For the season, Lake is hitting .486, batted in 17 runs with no home runs and 25 runs scored. |
