5-Hit Blitz by Hickory's Botello Sunday, September 5th , 2021 Josh Botello really did a number on the Denver Pilots -- and the Pilots did one right back on Botello's team, the Hickory Crawdads, taking the Pilots Ballpark contest, 5-4. Botello delivered a huge 5-for-7 performance for Hickory, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box," the 21-year-old left fielder said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Josh Botello struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and flied out in the 13th.
