Big Bang! 3 HR for Baxter Springs's Davis Wednesday, July 5th , 2023 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Kevin Davis discovered that today at Ghosts Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 8-7 Baxter Springs Marshals win over the Laredo Ghosts. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Baxter Springs third baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Davis, the 7th overall pick in the 2020 draft, finished the day with 3 hits in 6 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Kevin Davis hit a solo-shot off Rick Winkler in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Iverson in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Ethan Yarbrough in the 9th and struck out in the 11th. So far this season, Davis is hitting .240 with 10 home runs. |
