Hickory-New Rochelle Brawl, Kincaid and Griffin Suspended Thursday, June 12th , 2025 Yesterday at Crawdad Park Pete Kincaid and Kyle Griffin got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Hickory Crawdads and New Rochelle Purple Wave. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Kincaid will have to sit out 3 while Griffin would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. This season, Kincaid has posted a batting average of .195 with 32 hits in 164 at-bats, 3 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has also scored 14 runs, walked 20 times and compiled a .311 OBP. So far this season, Griffin has compiled a 2-1 record with a 2.79 ERA. |
