Goodman Pitches Tailgators to Shutout Victory Tuesday, August 13th , 2019 Brad Goodman hurled a fine game for the Chesapeake Tailgators at Tailgators Ballpark today, holding the Lubbock Stampede to 1 hit in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Chesapeake manager Dave York said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 8 strikeouts and no walks in the 5-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Lubbock manager William Maysonet said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." On the season Goodman has compiled a 5-3 mark with a 2.08 ERA in 11 starts. In pitching 86.1 innings he has 62 strikeouts and 14 walks while limiting the opposition to a .233 batting average. |
